This bright and beautiful lodge suite rental is located in Knox County, Ohio, and can accommodate three guests. There is one bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom has a queen-size, mission-style cherry bed. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and shower. Linens and towels are kindly provided by the host.

Dinner is available to guests by advance reservation. Picnic baskets for dinner or lunch can be ordered with 48 hours notice. This accommodation is located in a dry township and therefore cannot sell alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own.

Guests can partake in an array of fun events on the property, including murder mysteries, holiday celebrations, delightful dinners, and an exciting music and food festival called Oakstock.
Nature lovers will enjoy the plentiful activities nearby, including wildlife watching, nature walks, and foraging for wild edibles and elusive flowers. Also, close by is Knox County, offering canoeing, fishing on the scenic Kokosing River, walking the Kokosing Gap Trail, and nine different golf courses.
The Mohican Valley Nature Trail is also nearby and features the 370-foot-long, covered Bridge of Dreams over the Mohican River. For the ultimate outdoor thrill, adventurous glampers can visit the Tree Frog Canopy Tours for a zip-line that leads through the treetops.
Glampers can discover a new appreciation for Amish culture as they explore the local Amish Country. The Amish are renowned for their handmade quilts, fine woodworking, cheeses, and baked goods. There are farmers’ auctions, quilt shops, cheese factories, furniture stores, antique stores, flea markets, bulk food stores, and gift shops. Glampers can see a blacksmith at work, farmers plowing the fields with teams of horses, taste the local cheeses and homemade candy, and local wine.
The restored community of Roscoe Village is a short drive away and features costumed craftspeople and shopkeepers demonstrating the working crafts and history of the 1830s as they practice the trades of blacksmithing, broom making, weaving, printing, bucket making, and more. From May to October, guests can enjoy a 45-minute, horse-drawn canal boat ride on the Monticello III.
South of the site, Longaberger Homestead offers lessons in basket weaving in the restored Crawford Barn. Glampers can see the world’s largest basket and enjoy one of the restaurants or shops nearby.
The Olde Mill in Utica is only 20 minutes away and is home to Ohio’s family-run Velvet Ice Cream. From May to October, guests can tour the factory, visit the ice cream museum, and enjoy a sweet treat from the soda parlor. On Memorial Day weekend every year, Velvet hosts the Ice Cream Festival, featuring entertainment, a car show, motorcycle show, sheepherding demonstrations, pony rides, ice cream eating competitions, and fun for the whole family. Sunday afternoons at Velvet feature live entertainment in the pavilion.
There are several wineries within an hour’s drive, most of which offer wine tastings to the public. From spring to fall, there are local farmers’ markets, market stands, and produce auctions all over the area. Nearby Mount Vernon has a local farmers’ market every Saturday morning in summer and fall, featuring produce, meats, cheeses, and eggs, much of it from organic farms, as well as flowers, artisan bread, honey, and other products. The first Friday evening of every month, downtown Mount Vernon features live entertainment, gallery hops, and special events. In mid-August every year, Mount Vernon hosts the Dan Emmett Music and Arts Festival. Musical history comes to life as Mount Vernon’s main street is closed for four days of music, food, artwork, and entertainment.

All rates include breakfast in the inn dining room. Single occupancy and corporate rates available midweek.
Rates are for double occupancy, although some rooms can accommodate a third or fourth person on an Aerobed. The cost for extra guests is $35 per person per night in the inn or guesthouse rooms, $50 per person per night for the cottages. All rates are subject to change and are before taxes. The inn is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
No open flames are allowed indoors, including candles, tea lights, votives, or incense.
Two-night minimum stays are generally required on weekends. Two or three-night minimum stays may be in effect for holidays, college events, and other special events in the area.
There is a $50 processing fee for any reservation that is canceled or changed. A deposit equal to one night’s stay plus tax is required at the time the reservation is made. If the reservation is canceled more than 14 days before arrival, a refund will be issued for the amount of the deposit less the $50 processing fee. If the reservation is canceled within 14 days of arrival, the deposit is forfeited, and the guest will be charged for any remaining amount that cannot be re-sold or booked to another guest.
For reservations being paid by a third party, payment in full is required no later than 14 days before arrival. For parties of three to five rooms traveling together, or for holidays and special events at the inn or in the area, the cancellation policy is 30 days. For parties of six or more rooms, weddings, and other events, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required and there is a 60-day cancellation policy
Gift Certificates can be purchased in any dollar amount and are valid for five years from purchase date. All usual terms for reservations, including deposits and cancellations, apply to reservations being paid with a certificate. Gift certificates may be used for any services or packages offered at the inn.
There is a resident cat and dog in the inn. No guest pets are allowed inside the main inn, however, two rooms in the separate guesthouse are pet-friendly. The pet fee is $25 per pet per night and owners will be required to sign a pet damage waiver.
Dogs must be housebroken and on a leash as well as on a flea medication and current on all vaccinations. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets must be crated if left alone in the room. Read More
