This picturesque yurt in Crestone, Colorado, is situated on the outskirts of a property that is home to zen practitioners and doubles as a popular setting for group and solo retreats. This yurt is elevated, providing guests with views of the nearby 14ers, Colorado's famous 14 peaks. The yurt can accommodate one guest, making it ideal for a solo traveler's rest stop. It has a deck, bookshelves, an amazing skylight, and a twin bed. Additionally, guests are provided with bedding and fresh towels. Guests should note that this is a black bear territory and thus all food and toiletries need to be stored in the indoor communal areas.

Nearby, there are several shared bathrooms for guests to use, each with a toilet, a sink, and a shower, and located just a three-minute walk from the accommodation's doorstep. Alternatively, guests can use the nearby compost toilet. Additionally, guests are provided with three vegetarian meals per day and can find high-speed Wi-Fi in the nearby communal areas and library.

While staying here, guests are welcome to experience the zen way of life and take part in the meditation practices. Similarly, guests are welcome to just use the accommodation as their base for fun activities, like visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park, enjoying the area's hiking trails, or experiencing the nearby hot springs in the San Luis Valley.

There are plenty of options for fun, outdoor recreation that guests can enjoy during their stay in Crestone, Colorado, including exploring the wide variety of mineral hot springs in the San Luis Valley. Guests can reach these destinations by car within 30-50 minutes to the north and south. The hot springs are part of a geological fault system that created the dramatic visual appearance of the precipitous and linear Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Additionally, there is first-class hiking all around the area with trails starting right at the property, which is surrounded by 240 acres of piñon pine and juniper forest. Off the property, there is a multitude of trail options leading up into the high country or along the streams into the valley. Guests can head out for the day with a packed lunch and enjoy a shaded picnic along one of the trails.

This property is home to some 25 spiritual practice communities representing most of the major wisdom traditions of the world. Many of them welcome guests and day visitors.
