Other hiking routes include the Holy Cross Wilderness, and popular lake destinations include Savage Lakes, Lyle Lake, the Fryingpan Lakes, Sawyer Lake, the South Fork Pass, and many others. The reservoir offers opportunities for fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, water skiing, and diving, all in a stunning setting.

The Chapman Reservoir and Nast lake are renowned for excellent fishing, whilst glampers may also enjoy biking along the stunning Frying Pan River or to the top of Hagerman Pass. There are several licensed guided river trips available nearby, for a thrilling whitewater rafting experience. Other activities include four-wheeling and ATV driving, hunting, and snowmobiling and skiing during the winter season. The accommodation is around 40 miles from Aspen with spectacular slopes.
