This one-of-a-kind retreat—a very modern, well-equipped apartment—is nestled on a sixty-acre alpaca farm in Salida, Colorado. The farm raises and sells both alpacas and paco-vicuñas, which are very similar species. The owners have 16 years of experience and proudly take care of over 400 animals between their two farms.
The property is located a convenient mile or two from downtown Salida, at the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The town is filled with culture and outdoor excitement, as well as various shopping and dining options. The fact that this glampsite is located on a farm opens the door to a wide range of activities that don't even require leaving the property. Guests are encouraged to spend some time with the experts learning about the adorable and playful alpacas and paco-vicuñas. It is even possible to purchase one and take it home, or visit the onsite farm store for their precious fiber, yarns, and rovings, as well as one of a kind finished products! To get off of the farm, glampers can venture into downtown Salida to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat at one of many local restaurants. Outdoor adventure is easily within reach as well, with activities including hiking, biking, four-wheeling, kayaking, skiing, and snowboarding. The town of Salida even has a new attraction called Captain Zipline Aerial Adventure Park. Adrenaline-seekers will love the labyrinth of ladders, platforms, bridges, and ropes.
