This cabin is located in Villa Grove, Colorado, where it is situated on a 13-acre property with a creek running through it. Surveying the cabin's surroundings, guests will see an expansive landscape of wide-open meadows transitioning into rugged, forest-covered hills. To the north, south, and west, the area is surrounded by Rio Grande National Forest and a number of mountains, including Hayden Peak, Flagstaff Mountain, and Saguache Peak.

Encompassing 1.84 million acres of mountains, valleys, and river canyons, Rio Grande National Forest contains a diverse array of ecosystems, ranging from alpine tundras to foothills covered in pinyon pine and juniper. These ecosystems, in turn, provide habitats for a large variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, black bears, elk, mule deer, and mountain goats.

The cabin is about 18 minutes from the rejuvenating mineral pools of Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa, 40 minutes from the restaurants and shops of Salida, and three hours from Denver, where the nearest international airport is located.
