ALL ABOOOOAARD! Welcome to our remodeled 1978 Burlington Northern caboose! On 10 acres of North Idaho beauty! Bring your ATVs, SxSs, snowmobiles, swimming trunks, skis, kayaks, boat, or just your hiking shoes. You're minutes away from it all! Give the horses treats, go skiing, and have your morning coffee in the warm and cozy cupola! That feeling of seclusion and peace awaits you. 20 minutes from Sandpoint. Veterans, educators, first responders get 10% off* (must request discount and proof may be required). Due to our "real" work schedules, we have to block Wednesday nights, if you need a Wednesday, message us to see if we can accommodate you.
The space
The caboose is 279 sq feet (9’x31’) of railroad history. Personally redone by your hosts. As you enter, you can almost hear the clickety-clack of riding over the rails as you settle in the main room furnished with a premium couch that houses a double bed. The custom-made table catches your attention as well as the fireplace that gently warms the caboose and emanates a soft orange glow. The caboose is equipped with a kitchenette with wine glasses, coffee cups, complimentary coffee, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and a selection of utensils and dishes. As you proceed you come to the cupola (COO-pa-la). Climb up, and enjoy the view. Beyond the cupola is the custom tiled bathroom/shower. The bedroom is at what we call the A-end, an inviting double bed is waiting for you after an activity-filled day! Outside is the barbecue grill and outdoor dining area. You can feed the horses snacks that we provide. Our newest improvement is the Loosey Caboosey Poochie Hoochie! A 10’x15’ (3.3x5 meters) dog run. We have a maximum of 2 pets unless prior arrangements have been made. Please don’t leave pets unattended.

Additional info
No animals allowed in the cupola. Animals not to be left in kennel when not in direct supervision. Maximum of 2 animals unless prior permission obtained. Dogs left outside and barking will incur extra charges to the guests.
ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE, BEDS OR LAWN. This can incur extra cleaning fees($25) or lawn maintenance fees ($100).
Pets must be in control at all times. Guests can be liable if their dogs cause injury to our horses.
Please don’t leave windows open in bad weather or while heat/AC is on.
Smoking is allowed in parking area and restricted to tobacco only, things may be legal in other states but are not legal in Idaho and are not allowed on our property.
Commercial filming and photography may be allowed with permission from us. No roasting marshmallows on propane fire pit. When you enter you’ll find there are no chocolatey fingerprints, crayon drawings, mud or excessive dog hair, dirty dishes or trash piled on the table, please leave the caboose like that upon departure. We’re happy to take care of the linens, bedding and general cleaning but help us so we don’t have to charge a cleaning fee.
