Treasure Island Homestead - Rustic Charm Meets Riverfront Serenity
Fishermen, hikers, hunters, and snowmobilers love staying at the Treasure Island Homestead. We are conveniently located at the Treasure Island Public Fishing Access and a short drive to the outdoor adventures in the Snowy Range, Sierra Madre Range, and friendly Saratoga, Encampment and Riverside. Our riverfront farm house, built in 1936, offers plenty of room with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, dining and living room area, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, Wifi, free parking, EV/RV plug-ins. Plus exceptional views in all directions of the river, mountains, and wildlife.

•Walk out the house in your hip waders and start your fishing day; Treasure Island section is ~2 mi x 2 channels = 4+ miles of river access, a Blue Ribbon freestone trout stream. Great for wade & drift boat fishing (raft, kayak, canoe); put-in / take-out at adjacent public boat launch.
•Head up the nearby Snowy Range (WY-130) or Battle Pass (WY-70) scenic byways to hike/ATV/snowmobile these Medicine Bow National Forest mountains, 2 million+ acres & BLM.
•Trailers welcome; ideal staging area for snowmobilers, ATV, fisherman, hunters, horseback riders (2 acre grazing pasture), RV hook-ups (30A/15A receptacles), EV level 2 charger.
•Hikers, bikers, campers, backpackers, birders, photographers, cross-country skiers, snow shoeing, ice fishing, rock climbing.
•Original Kurz/Ridding homestead location on lower Cow Creek dating back to ~1889 with 4 log cabins, elevation 6950'
•The entire house and property is for your use, full kitchen - plan to cook!

•You are between Saratoga (10 mi north) and Riverside/Encampment (10 mi south) - several restaurants & bars at both. Grocery shop in Laramie or locally before you come to property!

•You are not in town, dirt access road can be rough in March, bugs, mooing cows grazing, distant gunshots.
•There is boat launch traffic during Jun-Jul prime time, especially weekends.
•Please respect local residents, private property rights (NO trespassing), city ordinances, speed limits, grazing animals (domestic & wild), river/fishing rules (see signage at boat ramp).
Member: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Trout Unlimited, Snowy Range Snowmobile Club, Saratoga Chamber of Commerce.
Mechanical engineer, 18 yr old son, enjoy mountains & water (ocean, lakes, rivers). Grew up in MI, will retire in WY.
•The property is a homestead from the late 1800's, an experience not a stay. Full kitchen, BBQ+Smoker, plan to cook! 2 acre pasture bring your horses.
•Modernized with mesh Wifi, internet TV, charging stations & outlets, EV Level 2 charger, 100% Dimmable LED bulbs.
•Views of the tree-lined river and 12,000' snow capped mountains east & west from your deck chair...
•This unpopulated, predominantly private valley still retains it's western quaintness - activities aside, a great place to come and just relax.
•4 Wilderness areas: Huston Park, Encampment River, Savage Run, Platte River
Stayed in these cabins as a kid in 1977, caught my first trout by accident and have been hooked ever since - pun intended. When you smell the cottonwood trees, take in the views, listen to the river, you'll understand.
Near ranches: Brush Creek, Silver Spur, A bar A, Big Creek, State Line, and others for family visits.
Saratoga: Historic Wolf Hotel built in 1893. Hobo Hot Springs; natural mineral pools visitors can swim and relax 24/7 free. Shively Field airport w/ 8,400 ft paved / lighted runway. Museum.
Encampment: Grand Encampment Museum.
Dirt road can be dusty in summer depending on wind - will spray dust control.
Book ATV's, a horseback ride or scenic/fishing float trip on the river! Grand Encampment Museum, Wyoming Frontier Prison in Rawlins. Drive to the top of Kennaday Peak (4WD). Hiking, biking, hunting, dirt bikes, camping, XC skiing / snowshoeing, photography, birding. Book a massage.
