This cottage is located in Newport, Maine, where it is situated on a grassy, tree-dotted property on the shore of Sebasticook Lake. Encompassing 4,537 acres of water, the lake is home to largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, black crappie, and chain pickerel. The lake and its surroundings also provide habitats to a variety of birds, such as great blue herons, loons, ducks, eagles, and ospreys.

The cottage is about 20 minutes from the St Albans Game Management Area, 30 minutes from Bangor City Forest, and 45 minutes from the Frye Mountain State Game Management Area. At Bangor City Forest, guests will find 680 acres of natural environments that include meadows, a bog, a beaver pond, and deciduous woodlands dotted with more than a dozen species of wildflowers. These environments provide habitats to a variety of wildlife, such beavers, porcupines, snowshoe hares, barred owls, black bears, coyotes, and white-tailed deer, which guests can see on the nine miles of trails with which the forest is laced.

The cottage is about an hour and a half from Portland, Maine, where the nearest international airport.
