The Kilkenny Cove/Old Pond Railway Trail or the Frances B. Wood Preserve are two great hikes within the land trust. In the opposite direction, lies the Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Cadillac Mountain is a must-see; guests can drive or bike the three and a half miles to the top, at an elevation of 1,530 feet and enjoy the panoramic views of Bar Harbor, Frenchman Bay, and the Cranberry Islands. Other hidden gems in the park include Thunder Hole, Sieur de Monts Spring, Sand Beach, and for the experienced hikers, The Precipice trail.
