This lovely lakefront rental built in 1921, is perfect for up to eight travelers looking to explore Swanville, Maine. It has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchenette, and a living room. It also has plenty of outdoor space with the wrap around porch, the furnished deck with seating, and the lakeside by the dock.
There are three bedrooms in this home. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a dresser and a vanity area on top. The second bedroom has a double-size bed, a dresser, and plenty of wall lamps. The last bedroom has two twin bunk beds with plenty of natural lighting. The wheelchair accessible bathroom has grab bars by the toilet and the shower. There is also a handheld shower head and a collapsible seat.
In the intimate living area of the cottage, guest will find a couch and a single seat with an ottoman. The larger couch turns into a double-size futon, while the single seat turns into a single-size futon. There is a television with cable, as well as a DVD player. Nearby, there is a dining area with a table that can seat up to four and a fireplace stove.
The kitchenette, though compact, has all the necessary appliances to make a delicious dish. There is a gas stove, an oven, a microwave, and a refrigerator to store any leftovers. A coffee maker is also available. Dishes and other utensils can be found by the dining area.
Guests can enjoy the nature views from the deck.
In the cottage, there are window air conditioning units available on the top floor and fans all throughout the home. There is heating in this home. Limited access to Wi-Fi is available, but there is cable. A washer and dryer set and an iron and board can be found. Linens and towels are provided. Outside, there is a wraparound porch, a deck with new stairs, a ramp leading to a private dock. This deck is furnished with seats and a gas grill. There is a regulation size horseshoe pit.
Canoes and kayaks are provided. There are two kayaks and one canoe with four adult, two youth, and one child life jackets.

This is the perfect vacation spot due to the variety of activities available nearby. Located just 300 feet from a private shore, guests can enjoy the second largest lake in Waldo County, where they can swim, fish, and watch beautiful sunsets. Nearby is Swan Lake’s landmark, Spruce Point, where guests can see eagles and other wildlife near the home. From the driveway, there is a direct access to the dock, so guest can bring their own boat, or use the canoes and kayaks provided.
Centrally located, glampers can explore the area. Just 15 minutes away, guest can visit Belfast, Cornerspring Montessori School, and Penobscot Marine Museum. In Belfast, guests will find numerous shops, restaurants, theater, co-ops, farmers market, and summertime festivals. The Cornerspring Montessori School offers a summer day camp program.
Half an hour away, visit Fort Knox at Prospect, or head to the Camden/Rockport area. Camden/Rockport is known as the home of the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Maine Boats Homes & Harbors show, North American Blues Festival, and the Maine Lobster Festival.
For a day excursion, drive over an hour to discover Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, or two hours away to Baxter State Park and Mt. Katahdin.
