Downstairs, there is an additional double bed featuring a luxury mattress and cozy linens. There is a large comfortable sofa and a handcrafted coffee table, with floor to ceiling windows offering rewarding views of the surrounding tree forest and wildlife. All linens, towels, extra pillows, and blankets are included. There is also a sink offering running room temperature well water.
Outside, guests will find a spacious deck among the trees, the perfect place to savor picturesque sunrises, sunsets, or enjoy a book on one of the comfortable seating chairs.
Located right next door to the tree house, guests will have access to a private outhouse with a compost toilet.

Guests will have their own private outhouse with a composting toilet, located right next door to the tree house. Glampers will have access to the amenities of the main house, which is located just up the driveway from the tree house. Approved with the host in advance, guests can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a pampering dry sauna, or a luxurious bathroom with a hot water shower.
Other amenities include free on-site parking, heating with a remote operated gas stove, and basic toiletry essentials like shampoo, soap, and toilet paper.

The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens is less than 10 minutes away, boasting 83.5 acres of manicured beauty with forests, woodland trails, stunning gardens, and tours. The city of New London is just 20 minutes away, hosting a charming downtown Main Street and a waterfront park. There is is no Wi-Fi in the tree house but 4G on Verizon works well.
There is no shower or kitchen in the tree house but with advance notice, guests may use the shower in the main house at no extra charge. Running room temperature well water is available in the tree house.
Guests are welcome to bring their small dogs, but the rules, expectations, and safety hazards must be discussed and agreed upon beforehand. Medium or big dogs are very likely to cause damage to the handcrafted wood floor, so they are not allowed. Guests are 100% responsible for cleanup and an additional cleaning fee may apply if additional cleanup is needed.
Guests are required to use safety precautions inside the tree house and around the property and are held responsible for their safety.
Guests are expected to keep the tree house clean, be respectful of the space, wear indoor shoes when inside, and use the trash bin. Guests should be communicative in the event of any issue and let the property owner know as soon as possible. The guest will be responsible for any damage and/or missing items. The cost of replacement/repair/cleaning of the affected items will be charged to the guest.
Guests should be prepared for the woods and reconnecting with nature so should pack their favorite insect repellent during summer, hiking boots, and favorite things to entertain themselves besides nature when offline.
Guests are advised to bring a car in order to arrive to and from the property and for getting around during their stay as there may be limited transportation options in the area.
Guests can park in the area next to the path leading to the tree house. The path is about 300 feet and built using solid boards that are wide, flat, and very easy to walk on. In winter the path may be covered with snow and ice.
For precision and accuracy, guests should follow the directions provided by the host to arrive to the tree house instead of following GPS as it can take them further away and to a dead cell reception zone.
Verizon is known to have the best coverage as there are four bars on 4G at the tree house. For accurate directions, guests may map the GPS of exit: 10N or 12S off I98 depending on the direction of travel, then follow directions.
