Craftsbury Common

The tiny village of Craftsbury Common, located within the larger town of Craftsbury in Orleans County in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, is an ideal location for glampers wishing to sample the winning combination of rugged scenery, fiery-hued fall foliage, and small-town charm for which the Green Mountain State is so rightly famed. Situated on the Catamount Trail, a long distance cross-country skiing route stretching from Massachusetts to Canada, the town is also ideal for dogsledding or hiking, either in the nearby Willoughby State Forest or along the crests and valleys of the Green Mountains on the famous Long Trail, the USA’s oldest long-distance hiking route. For sightseers, the town is close to a number of historic and attractive settlements ranging from the nearby villages of Albany and Glover, to Montpelier the state capital.
