Richfork

The tiny settlement of Richfork, just outside Richford with its historic churches, Victorian mansions, and well-preserved downtown, is located just shy of the Canadian border in northern Vermont’s Franklin County. The town is perfectly located, no matter if you are looking for a peaceful romantic or family getaway or an adventure in the wilds of New England, being close both the Green Mountains and the northern end of the Long and Appalachian Trails (co-extensive within the state), and also to Lake Champlain with its beaches, marinas, and myriad small islands with their sweeping panoramas across to the New York’s distant Adirondacks. With Burlington, the state’s largest city, and its historic neighborhoods, shops, and eateries, and ski areas such as Jay Peak, also close at hand, this quiet corner of New England is perfect for making the most of your stay in the Green Mountain State.
