The room also includes a microwave, a coffeepot, and a mini-fridge next to the sink so guests can prepare snacks before taking off for the day, as well as a television near the bed for watching movies at night.
Guests will also have access to the nature lodge common areas, which include the spacious dining hall, a sitting area with leather sofas, and the luxurious back deck, which is furnished with patio tables and chairs overlooking the river. On the deck, guests can enjoy peaceful evenings with a glass of wine or a book and some music as the sun sets over the Kasilof River. In the yard, there is also a fire ring, where guests can gather at night to roast marshmallows as the stars shine overhead.

Guests staying in this lovely property will find a medley of things to do both on the property and in the surrounding Kenai Peninsula wilderness. In the mornings after eating breakfast in the dining room, guests can pack their gear and walk straight down to the Kasilof River, where they can fish for salmon and halibut from the riverbank or take off in a kayak or canoe for the day. There are various hiking trails leading from the property into the surrounding forest, allowing guests to take leisurely strolls or go for more strenuous hikes on their own. The accommodation provides fishing and hiking guides for guests upon request as well. The lodge also hosts a number of artistic workshops, from pottery sessions to fused glass classes to painting, knitting, and quilting lessons that are given throughout the year.
Guests can also drive about 20 minutes inland to reach Tustumena Lake, where they can fish, swim, kayak, and hike on the pristine waters surrounded by pine trees. About 40 minutes further east, guests will reach Kenai Fjords National Park or Chugach National Forest. In either the park or forest, there are wide networks of hiking trails, biking paths, and scenic lookout points where guests can sit and take in the breathtaking beauty of the area. In Kenai, which is under half an hour away to the north, glampers can also eat out in one of the local seafood restaurants, book an adventure tour or whale watching trip with a guide, or visit one of the many historical museums and cultural sights for more information on the rich legacy of the region. -
