Located in the heart of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, McCarthy offers a view into the historic mining past of Alaska, as well as truly incredible outdoor adventure opportunities for any adventurous glamper. The drive here from Anchorage on the rugged McCarthy Road is considered one of the most scenic in Alaska, although be careful as is unpaved.
