Guests who love the beach will adore the setting of this property. It's close to the ocean, and there are many activities for glampers to enjoy nearby. All of the nearby beaches are perfect for sunbathing and picnicking. At Koloa Landing Cove, guests can snorkel in the clear waters, with sea turtles for company. Within half a mile of the property, there are several other beaches, including Baby Beach, Lawai Beach, and Poipu Beach, which is one of the best places for swimming. At Poipu Beach Park, there are opportunities for scenic flights, ATV tours, hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, and zip-lining. Guests will be able to take chartered boat tours from close to the property to enjoy whale and dolphin watching, and those who like fishing will have plenty of chances to enjoy their favorite pastime, either out at sea, or at the Waita Reservoir, which is the largest inland body of fresh water in the state of Hawaii.
Guests who wish to do some fine dining or retail therapy will be spoiled for choice with the superb selection of stores and restaurants here. The new Kukuiula Shopping Village is just a short walk from the property, offering good restaurants, music, and shops, as well as a great gourmet farmers market on Wednesday afternoons.
Less than two miles from the property, keen golfers will be able to tee off, at the Kukuiula Golf Course. The course winds the vast width of Kukuiula, through 216 acres of undulating terrain. Holes play through orchards, gardens, and native landscape, and spectacular ocean views are part of every shot. A trip to the golf course could be combined with a visit to the stunning National Tropical Botanical Garden of Allerton, which is very close by. Guests can see towering rainforest trees, with tall curving roots, that grow near bronze mermaids, a grove of swaying golden bamboo, a cut-flower garden, and tropical fruit trees.
