Originally constructed in 1943, this cottage still retains hints of its storied past. The hardwood floors are all original to the vacation home, and the hosts have outfitted the interior with antique-style furnishings. The understated elegance of the vacation cottage makes it the perfect setting for Kauai honeymoons and other romantic getaways.

The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen where guests can cook up a romantic meal and help themselves to the free refreshments, a tiled shower with a hot water supply, and a café table for two. The bedroom has an elegant, four-poster, wooden bed, along with drawers where guests can store their belongings. The vacation rental also has a private porch, and an outdoor dining area with a gas grill. For entertainment, there is a television with a DVD player should glampers wish to indulge in a movie marathon. An iPhone to TV cable, an iPhone dock with speaker, Wi-Fi, and unlimited calls to the USA and Canada are also provided. This cottage also has basic toiletries in the bathroom, a hairdryer, and an iron and board.

In terms of its location, this rental couldn't be better situated; because it’s somewhat removed from the other vacation homes, glampers will feel like they have the garden all to themselves.

From 12/15/2015 to 03/31/2016 the rate is $225 per night,
From 04/01/2016 to 12/14/2016 the rate is $200 per night.

There is a one time cleaning fee of $125.

The beach is a five-minute walk from the property, via a path that goes under the bridge. The hosts have coolers, chairs, mats, umbrellas, boogie boards and fins for those who wish swim with the fish, or explore the lazy river. There are also plastic beach toys for kids.

Spend a lazy afternoon paddling down the Wailua River in the complimentary two-person kayak, or take the “his and her” bikes on a picnic to nearby Lydgate Beach. Glampers will also find plenty to love in the private garden. Stroll barefoot across the lawn and pluck mangoes, star fruits, oranges, mountain apples for breakfast from the trees.
