To experience up close the local wildlife of Kauai, there is Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge home to four endangered waterbirds, as well as other protected plants and animals. The Maniniholo Dry Cave is a must-visit as well because of its historical wonder. Legend has it that this cave formed after the Menehune created a collapse at the tunnel ceiling to trap the Polynesians turning into one of the most beautiful destinations in Hawaii. For a taste of the local goods, tourists can head to the Hanalei Farmers Market.
