This secluded vacation cabin is based in the town of Badger, California, near Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon while only a three-and-a-half hour’s drive from Los Angeles and two hours from Bakersfield. It sits on a 377-acre resort of tall trees and lush, green fields and features a classic cabin appearance from the outside, however, the interior has been warmly designed with contemporary furniture and original artwork in bright and spacious rooms. It can sleep seven guests in total with one double bed, two queen-size beds, and one twin bed that all come complete with cozy linens, soft pillows, and a comfortable mattress while the rooms themselves have carpeted flooring, large windows that boast mountain views, and bedside tables with reading lamps. The cabin has a full bathroom that is clean and modern with a large bathtub, a shower, hand basin, and a toilet with fresh towels provided by the host.

The living area is a vibrant and welcoming room with vogue seating and a flat-screen TV, ideal for movie nights in while the glass sliding doors open up onto an expansive deck where guests can enjoy an evening glass of wine and watch the sunset beyond the mountains. Delicious home-cooked meals can be prepared in the huge, fully-equipped kitchen as it comes with all major appliances, cooking utensils, and plenty of space for more than one chef on cooking duties. There is an elegant dining table for meals inside or guests can eat on the deck under the moonlight for the perfect end to the evening.

Guests are treated to an array of amenities that ensure they enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay in Tulare County including air conditioning, a wood-burning stove, a flat-screen TV complete with DVD library, and a coffeemaker for that all-important morning brew. Guests also have access to a barbecue grill for those summer afternoons as well as free, on-site parking and free Wi-Fi at the resort’s shop. The hosts have made bicycles and boats free to rent to take out on the trails and the lakes while laundry facilities and volleyball courts are also free to use.
