There will be an additional cleaning fee for any stains on linens orsofas. Please address any spills quickly to avoid extra fees. A fee will beapplied for late check-out of $75 if you do not check out at the time listed.-NOISE: Please do not disturb neighbors after 10 pm with loud noises. San Bernardino County has a strict noise ordinance. Renters who violate this ordinance will be subject to immediate eviction and forfeiture of all rental fees. PARKING: Only Park in the designated parking spots.Street parking is not available per the city/county.CHECK OUT PROCESS:- Wash all dishes in the dishwasher due to city sanitation requirements.- Make sure the heater is not turned off and returned to 55 degrees, or it will result in possible pipe damage.- Make sure fire is out in the fireplace, and ashes are cleared and dumped in the ash bin.- Leave any beds that were used unmade. Place all used towels in the tub.- Double-check for any personal belongings. The host is not responsible for lost or forgotten items.- Lock all windows and doors upon departure.*Snow: It is required to carry chains in the mountains during the winter months, regardless of having 4 wheel drive or if it is snowing. This is a local rule and there are no refunds or discounts for not being prepared for the snow/any acts of nature. Please be prepared to avoid needing towing. We provide driveway snowplow services when snow has accumulated over 4 inches. A shovel is on-site for guest use for any other snow removal needs. Additional plows can be arranged for a fee.Animals such as ants, mice, spiders, moths, flies, chipmunks, birds and rabbits (along with bears, coyotes, mountain lions, wild donkeys, etc.) are native to Big Bear and it is typical in the mountains to have an occasional sighting of any of these creatures, especially during particularly dry/hot seasons when they are searching for water or cold seasons if they are searching for food. Please keep in mind you are booking a trip in the wilderness - we are in a mountain town & are located in their territory. We prepare for such sightings with traps, spray, routine cleaning and maintenance, etc., but we give no refunds for seeing any of these creatures & want to prepare our guests for what to expect. Please do not leave any food out and be sure to use containers or zip lock bags - unfortunately, we do not provide those items but they may be purchased at many of our local convenience and grocery stores.THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE SET BY THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY:PARKING All short-term renters must park on the rental property. No street parking is allowed. So turn down the volume and keep all noise to a minimum. Guests are advised to adhere to quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.PETS Pets are required to be leashed or kept in an enclosed area on the property at all times. Dogs are required to be licensed. Barking or other animal noise may result in noise complaints.TRASHPlease place all trash in approved containers. Ensure containers are closed to keep animals out. Do not place trash bags or other uncontained trash anywhere on the property. OCCUPANCY Exceeding the occupancy limit could result in expulsion from the rental, fnes, or both. The approved number of people allowed in the unit can be found on the information posted inside the unit. PROHIBITED USES Short-term rentals may not be used for commercial purposes, such as flming, corporate retreats, conferences, or wedding receptions. COMPLAINTS The County operates a 24-hour hotline where residents can report short-term rental violations. All complaints are investigated and can result in a $1,000 citation.REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN You should receive a complete copy of the rental unit rules and regulations from the owner as well as information about penalties for violations.
