Dog-Friendly Rustic Cabin with Hot-Tub and Deck Great for Families in California

Cabin in Big Bear Lake, CA
5 guests • 2 bedrooms • 3 beds • 2 bathrooms
This 2 bedroom cabin sleeps five (bedroom 1: King, Bedroom 2: queen + bunks).
Nestled among the trees, enjoy ski slope views from the decks, relax in the hot tub and star gaze. Close to the Big Bear’s NEW Rathbun trail and Moonridge Zoo, Moonridge Coffee and Dank Donuts. Walk to resort shuttle/ mountain transit.
Bedrooms have mini-split for heating/cooling and there is a wood burning fire in the living area for cozy nights in, as well as a powerful wall heater to keep you toasty warm. Downstairs living area has couches, dining table and a full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils - everything you need to self cater. Tea and coffee provided, both Keurig and filter facilities. There is a laundry downstairs that you are free to use, as well as the 2nd toilet. Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms, one with King bed, the other has a Queen and Bunks. Bathroom has a shower over bath. You can enjoy views of the slopes without having to drive too far up the mountain, our street is one of the first to be plowed and the incline is not at all steep when you are driving up. Parking for 2 cars, this area does not have street parking. Spa, bbq, great wifi, 3 smart tvs all logged into our Netflix account (don’t judge our trashy faves please!). Laundry available for guest use on the property, dishwasher makes cleaning up easy!
Fenced in yard, lower deck can be secured to keep (small-medium) dogs in - but please never leave doggies unattended, we are in the forest after all. If you feel anything is missing or not quite right during your stay please message through Airbnb immediately, we want you to have a great stay and there are often fast easy fixes to small concerns :) both of us can check AirBnB messages so that's the best way to ensure one of us responds quickly. Surrounded by trees, with views of the ski slopes, this cozy cabin is just minutes away from Moonridge shops and a short drive from Big Bear Lake and the Village.
Cabins in this area are a mix of residential and short term rentals. We love to hit up Big Bear Coffee Roasting Company on our way to the cabin, and enjoy stopping at Blanca and Pierre's for breakfast on our way home, since there's a dog friendly courtyard, and is close to Boulder Bay. Walking distance to the Big Bear Mountain Shuttle. There is no overnight parking in Big Bear that isn't attached to private property- you’ll have two private parking spots at the cabin, and these are plowed for you when it snows. Please note there is only parking for two vehicles in our private driveway and there is no street parking.
All guests visiting Big Bear Lake must sign Big Bear Lake’s Good Neighbor Policy. We ask that you report any issues within an hour of check in so we can address them quickly. Missing something? Just ask, we can help you locate it or source it :) Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Pets are family! No extra fees for your dogs to stay with you :) One of the great things about Big Bear is that you can be right by the forest, and still close to amenities.
The beautiful surroundings mean that you may see bugs, there may be leaves or pine needles on the deck and you should always be aware that there might be wild animals in close proximity. We have never seen a bear or coyote at the cabin ourselves, but we keep a close eye on our little dog just in case, and you should never leave pets unattended! Raccoons leave evidence of their visits on the deck from time to time. Trash must be taken to a trash site when guests leave as there is no trash pick up in this area. License #VRR-2023-2752
