With San Bernardino National Forest at their doorstep, guests can enjoy year-round activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, and watersports. Bear Mountain has a large learning center for skiing and snowboarding, as well as the only halfpipes in Southern California. Rugged mountain peaks surround Silverwood Lake, where anglers can fish for trout, catfish, and bass. Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is also the place to visit for boating, swimming, horseback riding, and nature tours. The area has a boat ramp and boat rentals.

Meadow Park, located on Big Bear Lake, has a playground, picnic areas, and sports courts. Guests can gather the group and set off on a drive along the Rim of the World Scenic Drive, which winds through the San Bernardino Mountains and features stunning views.

Wine enthusiasts can enjoy a day of touring local wineries such as State Street Winery, Sycamore Ranch Vineyard and Winery, and The Black Kat. Other attractions include the San Bernardino History and Railroad Museum, Big Bear Alpine Zoo, and the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art.
