Stay in a yurt: Northern California Glamping
This fully-outfitted yurt rental with a clawfoot tub lies tucked away on the banks of the mighty Trinity River, Northern California, for luxury camping. The yurt can sleep up to five glampers. There is a plush queen-sized bed, though more beds and mattresses can be added to the accommodation's loft and in other areas, depending on the number of guests. In the bedroom area, there is an electric fireplace to keep guests cozy and warm at night.
The kitchenette comes with a small refrigerator, a toaster oven, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a sink, and kitchen utensils. If glampers need more fridge space, the refrigerators in the property's cafe can be used, too, and there is also a barbecue outdoors for guests to cook on.
Inside the glamping yurt, there is a clawfoot bathtub with a shower component; elegant and concealing curtains surround the tub for a private, relaxing soak or shower. The bathroom, which has a toilet, a sink, a mirror, and toiletries, is located in the middle of the yurt and is its own separate area with a door. This accommodation also has heating and air conditioning and a spacious open-air deck.
The cafe is a 2,000-square-foot straw bale structure overlooking the Trinity River. The ambiance of the cafe is dominated by hand-poured, colored glass tableware, accessories, and cozy filters of light. This mosaic of colors and textures perfectly blends with the natural beauty of the outdoors. It is a setting that makes every event unique, memorable, and enchanting.
The cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and serves freshly baked goods, breakfast, and lunch from the kitchen. On Fridays, it is open until 8 p.m. serving delicious wood-fired pizzas. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, it is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 8 p.m. and serving pizzas. The cafe is well known for its organic, gourmet coffees, which the hosts roast themselves. One of the hosts' specialties are the homemade, wood-fired pizzas from their brick oven.
All the outdoor events also take place in the cafe. The indoor seating area holds 30 guests and the patio area up to 150 guests. There is also Wi-Fi in the cafe and can only be used for browsing the internet or checking email, it is not able to support downloads or streaming.

Trinity River is one of Northern California’s most scenic rivers. It offers great year-round fishing opportunities. Glampers can try their hand at snatching up some steelhead, salmon, and German brown fish. With over 260 species, this area is a bird watcher’s paradise. While sipping on a steamy cup of coffee, first thing in the morning from the comfort of the deck, glampers may spot bald eagles, blue heron, merganser, stellar jays, turkey vultures, sharp-shinned hawks, rufous hummingbirds, golden eagles, and more.
Guests should not miss out on the other fun activities to experience, including hunting, kayaking, and canoeing right at the heart of the river, to hiking and biking on the beautiful trails. Bringing a camera or mobile device with a good camera is a must for capturing some great action shots and picturesque scenery. Guests should make sure to visit the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival during the summer months.
