There are private hiking trails, many outdoor seating spots, indoor and outdoor games, books, videos (to play on your laptop). Creekside Cottage is situated on a quaint creek beside an expansive meadow, surrounded by oaks and old-growth madrone trees. Many miles of private trails extend right from the cottage doorway.

It is a beautiful spot to relax or to use as a base for your explorations of the Anderson Valley and Mendocino County. The breathtaking redwood Hendy Woods State Park lies nearby along the Navarro River, and the area is full of rich farms and orchards, including the charming Pennyroyal Farm. Guests can visit Clear Lake, Mendocino National Forest, or the Pacific Coast in less than an hour. Philo is 20 minutes away, and Sacramento is a three-hour drive from the property.
