Situated in the quaint mountain community of Midpines, this tree house rental is close to Yosemite and Highway 140 (the scenic, all-weather highway to Yosemite). Midpines is an ideal base for outdoor recreation. A short walk (bike, drive, or ride) up the road brings glampers to the Sierra National Forest Boundary. Most of the surrounding area is pristine Sierra National Forest or land protected by The Bureau of Land Management with hiking trails and unpaved roads to explore.

The Merced River is less than five minutes away and provides rafting (in the spring), swimming (from late spring until winter rains), fishing (all year round), wildlife viewing, hiking opportunities, and plenty of solitude. Once guests arrive at the farm this tree house is based on, there are no crowds, no traffic; yet, Yosemite National Park is a mere 16-mile drive to the east, and the restaurants, shops and historic streets of Mariposa are only ten miles to the west. In the winter, the property even gets the occasional snow and offers great hills for sledding.
