Markleeville

Nestled in a lush grassy valley, Markleeville, California is a tiny town with history involving the silver mining boom, and toll bridge owned by Jacob Marklee, and a tragic gunfight. Be sure to soak in the rejuvenating hot springs in Grover Hot Springs State Park. There are also excellent hiking trails here so bring along your hiking boots as well as your bathing suit. Sitting amongst the Sierra Nevada Mountains, there are plenty of summits for mountain climbers to explore, as well as rock walls for rock climbers to conquer. Head north to the beautiful Lake Tahoe one day, or south to Yosemite National Park to view the waterfalls, wildflowers, and wildlife. Head to Markleeville, California and you’ll be in the center of a multitude of outdoor activities and scenery.
