Mountain Ranch

The settlement of Mountain Ranch, California was established during the California Gold Rush and is now considered a California Historic Landmark. This tiny central California town is east of the San Francisco Bay area and lies alongside the Stanislaus National Forest. The mountain wilderness has tons of trails for hiking and mountain biking, and numerous snow fed rivers for kayaking, fishing, and boating. The Sierra Nevada Mountain range provides several notable snow covered mountains for intrepid mountain climbers to summit. There are also rock climbing routes in the granite cliff sides.
