The Lodge is located on the 200-acre Wisdom Eco Preserve in the Sierra mountains of Northern California.

It is approximately 2 hours up from Sacramento or Reno and 45 minutes up the hill from the towns of Nevada City\Grass valley.

Located on the San Juan Ridge at an elevation of 4,000 ft the lodge will be open to the public for groups of any size up to approximately 25 people.

The sole source of electricity at this point in time for the entire Lodge is from a small quiet gas generator.

All rooms are set up with receptacle outlets, numerous lights and miscellaneous switches. With the generator running there is sufficient l electricity for the entire building.

While the Lodge is not completely finished, it has approximately 7 large bedrooms capable of sleeping up to approximately 25 people. Some of the bedrooms are in dormitory style with a number of simple single beds. Other bedrooms have king and queen size beds with added fold-down futons.

The East wing has a wide open hallway set up for the kitchen with a six burner wolf propane stove and a simple propane refrigerator. In addition three large ice chests are provided for your provisions.

It is sided with shelves, two preparatory tables and a simple large frontier sink. It has sufficient kitchen utensils, pots and dishes for a good size group.

The Lodge is located in a wide open space in the vicinity.

The lodge square footage is close to 6000 square ft and has two large decks(12ft x 45t) one of these is on the East wing and the other is on the West Wing.

The center of the lodge is open to the sky and has a large open area capable of sitting and or standing anywhere from 50 - 75 people.
It is covered with a large shade cloth for cooling protection.
It has three handcrafted picnic tables for eating venues and a comfortable seating area.

A short distance away is a clean two stall outhouse and nearby a private two stall shower house with hot water for showers.

The Lodge will offer very simple rustic bedrooms and we feel it is sufficient for most group events.

The natural setting of The Lodge is surrounded by large pine and fir trees over 100 ft tall and with wide expansive views.

This rustic log and post beam Lodge is built in a wilderness setting for
visitors to enjoy for special occasions and intimate family gatherings.

If you have any interest in this for a large group and family gathering, kindly inform us as many people you think will be needing lodgings.

Be a specific as possible with details to help us keep informed of your needs and desires.

The rates for the lodge $50 per person with a 10-person minimum and with a $250 cleaning deposit.

Kindly indicate if you're gathering it's for a birthday, anniversary, a wedding or party.

Remember we also rent five other large cabins capable of sleeping comfortably another 20-25 people.

The Lodge location is centered in close proximity to both the middle and South Forks of the Yuba Rivers. A mere 45 minutes away from the lodge is the extraordinary Bullards Bar reservoir, known for swimming beaches, fishing, and boating.
