Log cabin • 5 guests • 1 Bathroom • Private Kitchen
This rustic woodland log cabin is located outside Nevada City, California, on a 200-acre property with 4 other cabins, and welcomes guests to enjoy year-round outdoor fun and adventure. This family-friendly log cabin boasts two bedrooms, a two-stall outhouse nearby, and also a flush toilet and a shower within easy walking distance to the main lodge guest bathroom. Both bedrooms offer a lovely queen-size log bed, perfect for couples or guests traveling with children. There are fresh linens and towels provided to guests during their stay.
The living area features a comfortable sofa and a wood-burning stove with firewood provided. The kitchen is simple but includes a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, cookware, and cutlery. Free Wi-Fi available near the main house.
Outside, there is deck space for guests overlooking the stunning surrounding forest. This massive property offers a number of hiking trails for guests to explore.
Some hiking trails take off right from the cabin and take visitors to areas up to a mile away on this preserve. Additional hiking trails are within a few minutes by car at Malakoff Diggins State Park and 10 minutes away there are many more miles of hiking trails, some of which go down to the beautiful Yuba River.
Please note: the cabin does not have its own bathroom or hot water. There is a guest bathroom a short walk away at the main house with a hot shower, sink, and flush toilet, as well as clean outhouses closer to the cabins.
Other things to note:
Pet policy: well-behaved pets are welcome for a fee of $10 per pet, per night. Please note there may be other guests with pets on the property, so any pets that guests bring must get along with other animals and people.
Cell reception/internet access: there is little to no cell reception on the entire property. Consider the stay an opportunity to disconnect from the virtual world and unwind. However, there is WiFi available outside the main house if needed (a short walk away from the cabins).
Shared spaces: Geronimo, Shamballa, and Trinity Cabin are in close proximity, with communal fire pits, large charcoal barbecue (charcoal not supplied), a 16-foot slab picnic table and chairs nearby. If there are guests in the other cabins, please be mindful of sharing these spaces and keeping noise to a minimum. Serenity and Radiance cabins offer more privacy.
Smoking/fire safety: during high fire season (summer and early fall) guests must be extremely careful with fires and smoking. Smoking is allowed on the cabin decks, fire pit and picnic areas, and in vehicles but not in the outback on trails as it is prohibited by the local forest service.
