The yurt is suitable for couples and families with older children. Guests should inquire directly with the host should they wish to bring older children or very young infants as prior approval is needed.
The yurt is not suitable for parties or special events, nor families with young children (2-12).

The hosts do their best to conserve energy and kindly ask that guests turn off lights and heating/cooling appliances when off-premises. If the hosts notice lights or appliances running without the property being occupied, they reserve the right to enter the dwelling and turn off the light source or appliance. The host will reiterate during check-in.

Guests at the yurt will be a few minutes away from the South entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park. The park is renowned for its spectacular natural landscapes, from its craggy granite cliffs to its towering waterfalls, and its expansive forests of old sequoia trees to its lush open valleys and rushing whitewater rivers.
At Yosemite National Park, guests can go hiking, biking, horseback riding, and rock climbing. They can also watch birds, or view wildlife like deer, coyotes, bighorn sheep, and black bears. Additionally, guests can take jeep tours through the park, or stop in the woods and valley for a picnic. In the warmer months, guests can go swimming, boating, and fishing along many glacial lakes and streams. They can also canoe, kayak, and raft along the Merced and Tuolumne Rivers. In the winter, alpine trails will be open for both downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and sledding. There is also a rink for ice skating.
For more winter activities, there is a multitude of upscale ski resorts in the Sierra Nevada Mountains around Oakhurst. Guests can also travel up to Bass Lake for more swimming, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, as well as paddle-boarding and jet-skiing. For more leisurely activities, guests can go shopping and dining in Oakhurst, or just stay at the yurt to view wildlife and take photos of the lovely scenery.
