Imported from Indonesia and nestled in a peaceful, wooded setting, this unique cottage is located in the countryside of Petaluma, California, and can accommodate two guests for an idyllic romantic getaway. The cottage provides guests with one bedroom and one full bathroom, along with a sitting area, a private deck, and a hot tub, all of which are set on 2.5 acres of woods and fields.
Entering the bedroom through its hand-carved and painted doorway, guests will find a king-size bed, an antique lamp, and colorful rugs surrounded by rustic carved-wood walls and set beneath an A-frame ceiling with exposed beams. For extra coziness, the bed is equipped with a premium electric mattress heater pad.
A separate building houses the bathroom and sitting area. In the bathroom, guests will find a six-foot bathtub, a walk-in shower, a toilet, and a sink, all of which are surrounded by wood-paneled walls. The sitting area is furnished with a sofa. Just a mile down the road heading east, guests will find Helen Putnam Regional Park, which encompasses 216 acres of oak woodlands, fields, and grassy hillsides, which are laced with six miles of trails of varying length and difficulty. The park also hosts a playground and a fishing pond inhabited by bluegill. A little further afield, guests can drive to the Pacific coast and visit Point Reyes National Seashore 28 minutes away, Tomales Bay 31 minutes away, and Bodega Bay 35 minutes away.
