Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on a Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Each tent has beds, down comforters, crisp cotton linens, lights, and more. Outdoor and indoor furniture and little touches that will make your stay unique.

Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain).

All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days.

We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light.

Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm. If you're interested in meeting our friendly farm animals, get in touch, and we'll be delighted to arrange a visit at a time that works best for you and them.

Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.

Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your outdoor allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products.

KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride.

Additional info

Do not enter the campsite without registration.
Please send us a message on the day of your arrival with your approximate arrival time, and we will meet you at the entrance.
You will need to sign a form before your entrance detailing the rules and regulations of the campsite.

Walking from the vehicle to your tent:
Once you are parked, it takes 6 minutes to reach your tent; you will walk down the hill via a well-marked trail; a map is also provided

Check-Out:
The check out time is 11.00 AM (STRICT).
Please text us when leaving to know you have left the property.
Before you leave,
01 - Ensure all furniture and accessories are returned to their original location
02 - Dishes are washed in the designated sink area and returned to the tent.
03 - The fridge is emptied.
04 - The comforter sheet, the mattress fitted sheet, and the pillow covers are stripped to the mattress protector and left on the bed.
05 - Place used towels in the laundry basket.
06 - Tent is zipped (closed).

Solar:
During winter, our solar system may be down for a few hours each day. This may cause brief power outages in the tents. When the sun is too weak or absent, we occasionally need to recharge it using our generator. We’ll keep you updated throughout your stay.

Pets: (Dogs only)
We welcome well-behaved and potty-trained dogs to the campground. Please do not bring your dog if you are unsure how it will behave in a camping environment with new animals and people.
If you are bringing a dog, you MUST declare it in the guest drop-down menu on the reservation screen. Each dog more than one per tent will be charged a fee of $30/dog. Your dog must always be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended at your campsite or inside your tent. We count on you to prevent your pet from making excessive noise, being disruptive, or aggressive to other guests or animals (keep in mind that the property is also home to a small herd of goats, which graze around the campsite, as well as several hundred chickens who live in a fenced pasture). You must pick up animal waste and dispose of it in the designated bin near the washrooms.
If your dog exhibits aggressive behavior towards other animals or people your booking will be terminated without a refund. In the case of injury to animals or people caused by your dog you will be required to pay double the amount of the vet/doctor bill or a minimum of $200.

Children:
Kids under the age of 8 are not allowed. An adult must accompany minors under 21 YO.

Unfortunately, wheelchair-accessible tents are not available.

Vehicles:
We allow one vehicle parking space per site (inquire about additional parking if necessary). Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill in the forest).
We recently installed an EV charger (Level 2, $5 per hour, subject to availability), get in touch with us when needed.

Visitors and food delivery: - not allowed
Only registered guests who are already booked are allowed at the campground.

Quiet Hours:For the enjoyment of all guests, we ask for quiet time all day and do not allow loud music at any time of day, and the same goes for loud discussions and partying. Think of it as a whispering experience. Please remember that our tents are made of canvas, and sound travels through the canyon. If we receive any noise complaints, you will be asked to leave.

Bicycles:
We do not allow bicycles on the campground property. However, you can leave your bicycle at the campsite entrance, attached to the entrance guard rail (we are not responsible for theft).

Heating / Stove:
Each tent has removable velcro windows and shades (zipper) and an indoor stove. Fires are to be monitored at all times.
Steps to start a fire:
01 - Add wood, sticks, and a starter.
02 - Open the flue and door grate to allow airflow.
03 - Light the fire starter and close the door.
04 - Adjust the flue and door grate after the fire starts to burn well.
05 - Keep the airflow to a minimum to ensure a long, slow burn.

Camping stove:
Do not leave camping stove unattended.
Two extra gas canisters are available in the tent in case you need to replace it, instructions written on the stove.

Garbage:
As a part of our commitment to keep Kings Mountain clean, we ask for your cooperation in disposing of all garbage and recycling in the designated waste receptacles. To avoid attracting animals to your tent, please dispose of all food waste in these receptacles (keep them closed) and don’t leave food unattended outdoors. Complimentary garbage bags are available upon request.

Electricity:
Solar panels power the campground, and the tents have a few electrical outlets they should only be used for charging phones and devices (Max 500 watts). Do not try to use large electrical devices; they will trip the breaker for your tent.
(for example, no hairdryer).

Hot water:
Limited but available; be mindful of others while taking a shower.

After-Hours Assistance:
Our campground host is available for after-hours assistance. Please call or text 6504164133 and be prepared to provide your tent number.

Security:
Smoking, drugs, and heavy drinking are prohibited on the property.
Weapons are not permitted on the property. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Nature:
Trees and the shade they provide are integral to an enjoyable experience. However, even healthy and well-maintained trees pose a natural hazard of falling debris, such as leaves and branches, especially during windy and extreme weather conditions. We do not assume responsibility for these natural hazards or for any property damage, injury, or other circumstances that may result. If we feel that a campsite is unsafe, we reserve the right to change the location of your accommodation to ensure your safety. In the event of extreme weather conditions forecasted, we reserve the right to cancel and reschedule the reservation for a mutually agreeable date.

Refunds / Cancellations:
No adjustments, guarantees, refunds, or rebates will be given for problems or failures beyond our control, such as weather (fog, wind, rain, etc.), fire, road conditions, power outages, or any other unavoidable occurrences.
We reserve the right to cancel any and all reservations if it is found that projected weather could threaten our guests' safety. We will make every effort to give you a good amount of warning.
We recommend checking the weather before your trip and packing appropriately.

Theft:
We are not responsible for loss, damage, or claims to guests' property due to fire, theft, accident, or any other cause. Lost and found items will be held for a maximum of two weeks before being donated. For maximum security, we ask guests to lock valuables in their cars.

Our tent is your home while you are with us:
You are responsible for the tent and its content while using it; please treat it as your home. If you break or lose anything, inform us before departure.

Weather:
Fog is a common and unique weather phenomenon in the San Francisco Bay Area and along the Northern California coastline. Conditions can change quickly—some days you'll find yourself surrounded by fog, other days above the clouds, and sometimes enjoying clear blue skies. We are not responsible for a sudden change of weather.
