Based in the town of Shingletown in Northeastern California, this renovated 1930s bungalow lies in the hills below the peak of Mount Lassen and is sheltered by tall sequoia cedars and pines with a gentle creek that meanders by the back of the property. It offers a peaceful and private location where guests can relax and enjoy a rejuvenating vacation while immersed in sublime natural beauty. It can sleep up to 10 guests in total with four bedrooms that include two king-size beds and two queen-size beds, while there is a sofa bed for two in the living area. The bedrooms feature hardwood floors, wardrobes, dressers, bedside tables with reading lights, and beds with luxury linens and ultra-comfortable mattresses.
After a day exploring the Lassen Volcanic National Park, guests can kick their hiking shoes off and sit back on the Forest Green leather seating in front of a 42-inch television and a cozy, wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a large surface area with granite tops for preparing home-cooked meals, and a dining table that can seat up to 10 guests for sociable mealtimes.
Outside, the views from the elevated deck are best enjoyed from the comfortable seating with a glass of local wine in hand while during the warmer months, guests can prepare barbecues from the grill with a few cold ones. Guests can end the evening in true glamping fashion by gathering around the fire pit and roasting s’mores, sharing stories, and gazing up at the clear California sky.
Guests are treated to an array of amenities that ensure their vacation is both enjoyable and comfortable including free Wi-Fi service, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, and free on-site parking.
