In addition, soak in the healing baths of Stewart Mineral Springs (just a 10-minute walk from the house); go shopping and visit cafes around the lovely towns of Yreka, Dunsmuir, and Mt. Shasta (just 15-25 minutes driving); and hike along the Pacific Crest Trail and Mt. Shasta, as well as explore the small Alpine lakes that surround them (a 15- to 20-minute drive).
Other activities include kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and fishing in the summertime, as well as going to watch a Shakespearean play and explore the sweet town of Ashland, Oregon, which is located just 45 minutes away.
