Cottage Grove, also known as ‘Covered Bridge Capital of Oregon’ thanks to its six covered bridges nearby, is a sweet little city located in Lane County, Oregon. Five of the six bridges are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and an annual festival is held to celebrate them. Situated just south of Eugene, this city’s main outdoor activities are hiking and biking, with plenty of routes and trails available. Row River National Recreation Trail is the best spot for both, while further cycle paths can be found at Mosby Creek. There are also two golf courses in town - Hidden Valley Golf Course and Middlefield Golf Course. Two lakes can be found very close to Cottage Grove. Dorena Lake is only a 15-minute drive to the east, while Cottage Grove Lake is 15-minutes to the south.
