Darrington

Darrington is a charming mountain town located in the heart of Snohomish County, Washington. Situated in the upper Stillaguamish Valley beside the Sauk River, this is a great spot to get away from it all and take a break in the fresh mountain air. Several of the peaks in the northern Cascade Mountains are visible from Darrington, and many of them are reachable by car. Nearby mountains include White Horse Mountain, Jumbo Peak, White Chuck Mountain, Glacier Peak, and Round Mountain. Vast expanses of verdant forest and parkland can be found close to the town, with Boulder River Wilderness, Darrington Bluegrass Music Park, and Squire Creek Park all just a stone’s throw away. Popular pastimes in the area include kayaking and canoeing with Adventure Cascades, hiking along the Old Sauk ADA Loop, and spending the afternoon sampling the concoctions of the local brewery River Time Brewing.
