A catch and release policy as well as limited access to only the ranch guests make this a sport a fisherman's paradise. The feisty rainbow trout weigh up to 10 lbs and early evening hatches provide great opportunities for dry fly casting. Fishing licenses are not necessary. The lake is also is perfect for float tubing. Rowboats are provided for free, but guests are asked to please bring their own float tubes and fishing gear. The lake freezes over in mid-November and opens in mid-April. May, June, and October are the most popular months for fishing this lake. If glampers wish to go swimming, they can do this from June-September. The lake can also be used for sunbathing.
Other activities include: campfire cookouts/BBQ, hiking, trap shooting, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking. guests also have the opportunity to go cross-country skiing, take a snowmobile ride, or downhill skiing at Red Mountain.
