An ideal glamping getaway, this adorable tiny house rental is nestled into a rural location along the Puget Sound in Olympia, Washington, and can accommodate two guests. Inside, there is a sleeping loft with a full-size bed and a skylight for stargazing. To get in and out of the loft bed, guests will have to use a narrow, steep ladder, which requires agility and balance. The private bathroom has an economy-size shower with hot water that comes from a six-gallon tank, in addition to a composting toilet, a mirror, and a hairdryer. Linens, towels, slippers for inside use, natural soaps, and shampoos are all provided.

There is a kitchen with a mini-fridge, a stove, a microwave, a French press, pantry basics (oil, sugar, coffee, tea, and spices), and all necessary tableware and cookware. Guests should note that the ceiling clearance is 6'2" in the kitchen. In addition, there is an expandable table with two chairs, a cozy window seat for reading, a mini gas fireplace, and an electric wall heater.

Other amenities include kayaks for guests to explore the shoreline, a hammock, free Wi-Fi, tiny house books and information, Olympia/Pacific Northwest guidebooks and resources, and an assortment of mini-games. There is beach access via a trail with steps on the property, as well as a fire pit that comes equipped with fire-top cooking tools.

Guests should note that the acre of land the tiny house is on is shared with the host's parents, who live in a log cabin on the one-acre, as well as have their own small guest cottage that they rent out.

The tiny house was handbuilt by the host. There are a fire pit and a hammock outside of the accommodation, and kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are provided for guests to use.

Located on the shores of the Puget Sound, just NE or the Olympia & Lacey area, this tiny house rental is perched on a hill, surrounded by fruit, fir trees, and a garden, which overlooks the water. A walk down a short, stepped trail on-site will give guests direct beach access, and the Olympic Mountains can be seen across the water. At just five minutes walking, guests have Tolmie State Park with three miles of hiking trails, while the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is 15 minutes away by car.

For any necessities glampers may need during their stay, the Hawks Prarie shopping center is 8 minutes away by car, and downtown Olympia is only a 15-minute drive from the accommodation, as well.

The area is made up of different islands and waterways, which are most easily traversed by ferry or kayak. Another next-door neighbor to this glamping property is the 154-acre Tolmie State Park, which boasts beach, forest, and hiking trails. Kayaks are provided for guests, or guests may bring their own stand up paddleboards or diving gear and launch at Tolmie State Park, which also features an underwater diving park.

Downtown Olympia is only 15 minutes away by car, and the city of Lacey is just 10 minutes from the accommodation. In Olympia, the capital city of Washington, guests will have plenty of options for entertainment, shopping, and dining. Other notable sites and day trips that are within reach of the property include Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Mount St. Helens, the Tacoma Museum of Glass, and the city of Seattle.

Additional Information

If the booking is made within two months of check-in, there is a two-night minimum stay. If the booking is made more than two months in advance, the minimum night stay is four nights, but if guests are interested in a two or three-night stay can contact the host and get on a waiting list in case availability opens up less than two months prior to check-in. One-night stays are also available within one week of arrival.

This property has self-check-in. Guests will be provided with a key code by the host. The host is from Olympia and is happy to give guests personalized suggestions on what to do during their trip.

Pets are permitted for an additional nightly fee, but they must be pre-approved by the host.

Upon check-out, the host requests that the tiny house be left reasonably tidy, with all dishes clean. If any damage is discovered, guests may be charged for damages.
