This vintage Airstream is located in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and provides a unique getaway base for glampers to explore the Cherokee National Forest. The Airstream has two single beds and a dinette that converts into a queen-size bed and can accommodate four glampers. The original bathroom comes with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Linen and towels are kindly provided by the hosts.
After an action-packed day on the Appalachian Trail, glampers can relax and unwind in the comfort of the Airstream. There is a flat-screen TV with a Roku streaming stick and Wi-Fi, ideal for a quiet night indoors. The kitchenette retains its original charm and comes equipped with everything needed to whip up a delicious snack, including a stove, an oven, a fridge, and a kettle.
Outside, glampers will find a covered patio area with a dining table, a BBQ grill, seating, and an outdoor shower. Additionally, glampers can gather around the big fire pit and roast marshmallows before retiring for the evening.
Guests should watch their head in the doorways, if they are tall.
This Airstream offers modern conveniences that will make any discerning glamper feel right at home during their stay. This vintage Airstream is located in Elizabethton and boasts an excellent location with easy access to outdoor recreation. Cherokee National Forest lies in the southern Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee and offers a vast network of forested hiking trails, that are ideal for intrepid glampers. A portion of the famous Appalachian Trail can be reached within 10 minutes, and crosses the tip of Watauga Lake. Avid anglers are encouraged to bring along their rods and enjoy a successful day of fishing. Additionally, glampers can explore the lake by kayak, canoe or paddle board. Motor boat rentals also available at Watauga Lake.
For something different, glampers can head to Sycamore Shoals State Park which boasts interpretive exhibitions, a history trail, and a beautiful river walk. The Elizabethton Covered Bridge is a must when visiting the area, while those looking for a thrill can head to Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium for some zip-lining fun and to visit the wolf pack. Furthermore, glampers can step back in time at the old-school drive-in or sample some of the delicious menus at one of the restaurants in the area.
Hot weather? There are many places to swim in the area, both wild swimming and chlorinated.
