Holiday Landing Marina (Bluegill Grill) and the main channel of the lake at just 10-12 minutes away.

There are lots of fun off-the-water activities nearby too. The property is located in historic Lynchburg, Tennessee, less than 15 minutes from the world famous Jack Daniel's whiskey distillery. - Tims Ford State Park is a jewel in the crown of Tennessee’s state park collection. Every season is a great season to visit and see the scenery, plus the younger set will enjoy seeing the rescued eagles and owls on site. There are trails of varied lengths, difficulty, and terrains - truly something for everyone - and a gift shop with nice bathrooms for pre/post hike needs. Hike the trails in the off season to see the lake in complete peace. Rope bridges and other cool features abound on the trails at Tims Ford Lake State Park. There's also a gift shop in the Welcome Center with Tims Ford Lake merchandise and maps of the park. The park is also home to Lakeview Marina, the only place on the lake to find hand-dipped ice cream cones and bowls.

- Fishing – Tims Ford Lake is one of the region’s most sought-after lakes to fish. In the warmer months, bluegill and croppy are easy to catch if you fish off our dock with worms or shiny bait. If you’d like a change of scenery, head over to Neal’s Bridge (just 5 minutes by car and 2 minutes by boat) and fish off the shore or dock there. In the colder months when the water in our cove goes down, there’s a beautiful fishing spot at Lost Creek boat ramp that is worth the 5-minute drive.

- Hiking - Watch the leaves change color on a hike through Tims Ford State Park. Most of the trails have a big tree canopy, so even in the rain and cooler temperatures, this activity is doable with the right outerwear and shoes. Our favorite is the Red Trail, which is unpaved, but there's also a 1-mile paved trial that starts at the parking area and ends at a beautiful lookout. There's also a gift shop in the Welcome Center with Tims Ford Lake merchandize and maps of the park.

- Cove fun - Our cove is perfect for swimming off the dock, floating peacefully in the water and fishing from almost anywhere. Please feel free to use the Lily Pad and floats we’ve left on the dock for guests.

- Kayaking - There are two kayaks for your use because our cove and this part of the lake are perfect for cruising by kayak. Head out of the cove and turn left toward Neal Bridge for a quick, easy, and scenic route, or turn right to head toward some beautiful homes and bigger water.

- Rent a Boat - There’s no better way to experience Tims Ford Lake than on the water! If you didn’t bring a boat with you, several marinas nearby rent boats by the day. The closest one by water is Holiday Landing Marina, and the closest one by car is Tims Ford Marina. Holiday Landing will be about 12-15 minutes by car, but only about 7-10 minutes by boat, and it is a very easy to navigate route. Tims Ford Marina is about 10 minutes by car, but it will be closer to 15 minutes by boat back to our house, and you'd need a map to make sure you take the right route.

Additional info

Lake Use - The water levels at Whiskey Cove vary throughout the year. There is a swim ladder and stairs to make it easier to get in and out of the water.

Boat Launch - There are multiple public boat launches located nearby. Neal Bridge Launch (Ridgeville Road) is the closest (less than 5 minutes by car, and 2 minutes by boat).

Dock - Your watercraft can be tied up to the outermost part of the dock. There are some bumpers along the edge, but they may not provide enough for your boat, so please supplement the bumpers with your own if needed.

Water Toys for Guests - You are welcome to use the Lily Pad, two kayaks and any other floats on the dock. Kayaks must be returned onto the lift and secured to the lift after each use, and the Lily Pad must be attached to the dock when it is in the water.

Grill & Fire Pit – We’re welcome to use the propane grill and wood-burning fire pit. We supply propane, lighters, and firewood for your use in the fire pit.
