The rental can sleep two guests thanks to the full-size futon that is raised and accessible via a ladder. Warm blankets are provided but guests should bring sheets and pillow cases or sleeping bags. The rental has its own outhouse that can be found just steps away. Inside, the space is very minimal. There is room for guests to write or simply relax, with a huge glass windows letting in plenty of sunshine and capturing the beautiful views of the forest. Lots of books!
Guests are welcome to visit the host's sculpture studio down near the house during their vacation or they can spend time wandering the trails in the woods. This secluded spot boasts hammocks in the trees, the ideal spot to relax with a book on warm summer's day. Guests should bring lighting for the hut and perhaps a battery fan in summer and firestarters in winter.
Guests will be able to enjoy a simpler life during their time in this retreat cabin. The outhouse is located next to the rental. There is free firewood for the woodstove in winter and outdoor campfire wood is available for $5.00 a bucket. Spring water is provided for campers.

Heading north, glampers can arrive at the stunning shores of Center Hill Lake just three miles away. This makes a lovely spot for a picnic or guests can get right out on the water for some fun. The lake is bordered by Edgar Evins State Park and its scenic trails, which are wonderful for hiking right in the heart of nature.
Glampers can also head into the town of Smithville if they need to pick up supplies or fancy dining out during their getaway.
