Buchanan Dam is a small community located in the heart of Texas Hill Country in Llano County, Texas. It sits along the banks of Buchanan Lake, forming much of the west and south of the lakeside. The Colorado River flows in at the north of the lake and out through the south, where it continues down to meet the Llano River at Kingsland.
