Rustic Luxury Farm House on Working Ranch and B&B near Houston, Texas
This luxury two-story glamping farm house near Houston has two bedrooms, one on each floor, both of which have queen-size beds. The Farm houses' downstairs bedroom has an antique tester bed, and the upstairs bedroom has an antique iron bed and a private sitting area. This glamping cottage sleeps up to four guests with the possibility of a fifth person, a child, to sleep in the cot in the sitting area upstairs. All linens and towels are provided by the hosts.
There is a charming living room with two loveseats and a rocker, as well a fully equipped kitchen with a working, 1920s gas stove and 1926 GE refrigerator. Upstairs, there is a full-size bathroom with an antique clawfoot bathtub, while downstairs, there is a half bathroom. The entire accommodation has central heating and air conditioning to accommodate guests whenever they chose to stay.
A continental breakfast spread is included in the daily rate and will be delivered to guests’ accommodation daily. The breakfast includes coffee, tea, bagels and cream cheese, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, and granola bars. There is a discount given for guests who choose to opt out of the continental breakfast.

While staying at the farmhouse, guests may see other guests, ranch hands, and occasionally the owner around the grounds. Some of the accommodations come with a permanent grill, though grills can be requested for the rentals that normally have one.
The cabins and cottages do not come with televisions nor Wi-Fi, as the hosts created this glamping property with rest and relaxation in mind. For guests who occasionally need Internet service, Internet is available at the Show Barn on the property.

The Cat Spring area has historically significant Texan attractions, such as the Stephen F. Austin State University and Washington-on-the-Brazos State Parks. There are many nearby communities that will offer glampers a change of scenery with their cultural sites, dining establishments, and boutique and antique shops, such as Bellville, Sealy, Columbus, New Ulm, Eagle Lake, Richmond, Rosenberg, Round Top, Warrenton, Shelby, Brenham, Chappell Hill, and Winedale.
The glamping site is also only an hour and 30 minutes from Austin, the state capital, and less than three hours from San Antonio, home of The Alamo.

Glampers can schedule guided horseback rides on a South American Paso Fino horse through the property’s forests and meadows and along its creeks and ponds. Children must be 10 years of age or older, and anyone under the age of 18 will be allowed to ride only at the discretion of the trail guide. It is $79 per guest, and we offer children's rides by lead line for $29 per child.
Archery is available for $35 per person, and bicycle rentals are also available for $35 per person per day. For guests who prefer to explore the glamping site on wheels and are 18 years of age or older, golf carts can be rented for $59 per day, of which a day means 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests can also try trapshooting for $129 per person, with gear and instructor included. If guests bring their own gear, the cost is $49 per person.
Prepared picnics in the on-site gazebo can be arranged, as well as in-room massages, both for an additional fee. Photos can be taken of glampers while doing any of the above on-site activities by a Pulitzer-winning photographer for an additional fee.
While in the area, guests should be sure to grab a bite at Carol’s at Cat Spring Restaurant, a local dining establishment owned by the host of this glamping site where guests can go for a delicious, home-cooked meal. Reservations required.

The listed rates are for double occupancy and for more than two guests, there is an additional fee for each additional person of $35 per person per night.
There is special pricing on holidays and special events. For holidays and special events there is a three-night minimum stay.
This is also a pet-friendly property, as long as glampers make arrangements with the host pre-arrival. There is an extra fee of $35 per pet per night, plus tax.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside of the accommodation, and pets cannot be left unattended. Guests should please notify housekeeping staff as soon as possible if the pet has an accident inside the accommodation. Dogs must have a portable kennel and be kenneled when left alone in the interior of the accommodation. Glampers are also asked to keep barking to a minimum and to clean up after their pet.
There is a one night minimum stay Monday-Thursday, a two night minimum stay Friday-Sunday, and a three night minimum stay for all major U.S. holidays.
