Del Rio

Del Rio is a city in and county seat of Val Verde County, Texas. It is situated right beside the Rio Grande, which marks the border between the United States and Mexico, with the Mexican state of Coahuila on the other side of the river. This part of Texas is all about big open spaces, with hundreds of miles between cities and little in between. However, there’s plenty to do if you love the great outdoors! Amistad Reservoir and accompanying Amistad National Recreation Area are just 20 minutes away by car, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery and even go kayaking and canoeing. Other great spots include San Felipe Country Club for a round of golf, Devils River State Natural Area, and Val Verde Winery.
