Perched right at the top of a scenic hillside near Austin, Texas, this vintage Airstream rental is heated and air conditioned, as well as promises guests stunning views of the vast landscape below and the endless skies above. The Airstream has one bedroom and one bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to four guests at a time. The bedroom includes two extra long twin beds, as well as one double futon, all complete with 600 thread count linens. The bathroom includes a shower as well as towels and essentials provided.
The spacious lounge area includes a high-definition flat-screen 26-inch television, complete with a DVD player, iPod docking station, and video library. The Airstream includes a number of free goodies, such as snacks, coffee, tea, bottled water, and soda. Guests can feel free to bring whatever other food items they would like, as there as a large refrigerator/freezer located within the Airstream. There is not a full kitchen, but there is a microwave, as well as plastic glasses located in the kitchen cabinet for outside use.
The videos, books, stereo, DVD player, Bluetooth Box, music, and games are for guests to enjoy. The accommodation's television has local channels 7, 18, 24, 36 and 42, but no cable. Guests should keep in mind that sometimes channels don't come in as well due to weather or locality from the antenna. The local Sun Radio is 100.1 with great music and no commercials.
All artwork is for sale. Wayne’s Metal Art Studio is usually open. If guests ask the hosts, they will happily give them a tour.

With the entirety of the vast Texas Hill Country at their disposal, guests are in for a myriad of outdoor activities, perfect for adventure junkies or the regular vacationer looking to get away from it all, and everything in between! Guests can take a dip in the Hamilton Pool Preserve just minutes away, a natural pool with a cascading waterfall tucked between slabs of limestone. Further out, guests can hike, bike, or horseback riding through the many state parks in the area, including the Reimers and Blanco State Parks. Several lakes in the area, including Lake Travis, are great for fishing, boating, and adrenaline-filled water sports. The sprawling Texan wilderness truly has the best of everything Mother Nature has to offer.
After a long day of adventure and exploration, guests can take it slow with a pleasant afternoon exploring the quiet suburb of Dripping Springs or even the bustling metropolis of Austin. Wine connoisseurs can enjoy a multitude of wineries and vineyards in the vicinity, and enthusiasts of liquor and beer can also enjoy many distilleries and breweries. The hosts ask that guests text them upon arrival, so they can get them acquainted with the Airstream and the surroundings. Guests are also asked to read the information left for them upon arrival.
When leaving the property, the main gate by the entrance opens automatically, and guests just simply have to drive forward towards it. Guests are asked to please remember to leave it when departing the property to return home.
When leaving for the evening, it’s a good idea to turn on the front porch light. It’s really dark out in Texas Hill Country. Guests should look for the porch lights on in the distance and the main sign when returning.
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors, it is only permitted on the porch and nowhere else on the property. The owners kindly request that guests use the ashtrays provided.
There is no minimum stay, but the hosts prefer a two-night stay, if possible. This allows guests to even more activities in the area, as well as sit back and relax on the porch.
Pets must be well trained and not left in the Airstream by themselves and on a leash at all times when outdoors. The hosts have other animals on the property that they call "goats roaming," and the hosts also leave food for guests to hand-feed them if they would like. As guests walk the property, the hosts ask them to be aware of their surroundings—watching for snakes, prickly cactus, poison ivy, or any other obstacles that could do a guest or their pet harm. This is Texas Hill Country!
