For more outdoor excursions, guests should be sure to visit the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area and the Old Tunnel State Park, once a railroad tunnel of the Fredericksburg and Northern Railway that is now home to three million Mexican free-tailed bats, and 3,000 cave myotis bats during May through October. There is also primitive and steep hiking trails for more rigorous exercise.
