About this place
This 178-year-old antique log cabin is located about an hour away from San Antonio, Texas, accommodates up to 10 guests. Seen on Log Houses in America on HG TV, this unique, one of a kind, pioneer home built in 1852, has four bedrooms and two & 1/2 bathrooms.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed on an ornate metal bed frame. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom has two day beds. The fourth bedroom is downstairs, adjacent to the living room and with its own entrance and side porch. The half bath is located downstairs, while both of the full bathrooms are up the original narrow and steep wooden stairs of the cabin to the second floor.
The master bathroom provides the utmost luxury with a large claw-foot tub, a walk-in shower, and a private balcony overlooking the garden. The other full bathroom includes a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. There is also a washer and dryer located downstairs for added convenience. Linens and fluffy towels are provided by the hosts.
The living room remains true to the design style of the 1800s with a grand fireplace, a rocking chair, a comfortable sofa, and rustic beamed ceilings. The gourmet kitchen provides all of the modern appliances guests could dream of, such as a double oven, a stove, a toaster, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a farmhouse sink. The elegant dining room overlooks the stable, further adding to the feeling that guests have escaped reality to travel back in time.
Outside is the perfect spot to watch the sky change colors during the sunset on the large front porch or back patio. With a view of the peaceful countryside, the front porch includes a dining table for eating al fresco, and the back patio offers an outdoor couch and padded chairs ideal for enjoying appetizers or early morning tea.
This unique property is full of many outdoor attractions such as a pond that's perfect for fishing, and a pool that can accommodate those of all ages. Canoes are provided for guests so that they may explore the nearby Guadalupe River. If the weather gets bad, there's complimentary Wi-Fi so guests can keep busy while inside. There's also a large game room with a ping-pong table and extra seating for groups to gather and chat.
The outdoor pavilion/music venue/bar is a great spot to get together with friends and family after the sun has set to watch the deer that roam peacefully on the property. The basketball court is located close to the pavilion, which is great for when the kids want their fun while the adults gather to chat. Lazy Days Canteen offers live music, grub & libations every Friday & Saturday nights during the summer season.

This glamping site has a great location due to many charming towns and breathtaking sites to see out in nature nearby. The town of Fredericksburg is well known for its wineries and museums and is a little over 30 miles away. Guests should definitely stop at the Pioneer Museum that features settlers' homesteads and artifacts. The National Museum of the Pacific War is not too far from there and includes many WWII exhibits, even a recreated combat zone. The Fredericksburg Winery is a relaxing place to spend the afternoon tasting wines under the sunshine exposed from the parting of the grape leaves. The ranch has it's own music venue/bar Lazy Days Canteen.
Glampers better have their camera ready when they visit the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, a massive pink granite dome that towers above central Texas. This site has been attracting viewers for hundreds of years, and today glampers can come to partake in over 11 miles of hiking trails, camping, rock climbing, picnicking, bird watching, and stargazing.
If glampers are staying with a large group and looking for something to do, some true crowd-pleasers are Sea World of Texas and Six Flags Fiesta in Texas, both only about an hour away. Or, if guests decide to take a day trip to San Antonio, the Alamo is a great place to visit to learn all about the battle, pick up a few souvenirs, and see the 300-year-old former fortress that has free admissions for families.
The San Antonio River Walk is a must-see, as it is an iconic and eclectic area made up of many landscaped and colorful walkways and bridges all alongside the San Antonio River. These walkways boast many great restaurants, bars, and shops. With plenty of brightly colored umbrellas, ornate street lamps, and Christmas lights during the holidays, this area will surely create great memories.
