McDade

This small town in southern Texas has a lot to offer glampers looking for a quiet escape. Only 34 miles east of Austin, residents can make a quick escape from the city, and visitors flying in from out of town will be able to quickly arrive at their destination. McDade, Texas got its name from a major stockholder in the Houston and Texas Central Railroad in 1869. To cool off in the hot summer sun, head east to Somerville Lake.
