Surrounded by rivers, lakes, and the rolling Texas Hill Country landscape, glampers seeking outdoor recreation will find no shortage of options nearby. One of the area's most popular activities is floating either the 72-degree clear water of the Comal River or Guadalupe River. The company Rockin' R River Rides is the largest tubing outfitter in New Braunfels and they conveniently provide a shuttle directly from the property to both rivers. Nearby Landa Park is an excellent place to take in the natural beauty of the area. Guests can enjoy a scenic picnic, visit the Comal River Springs, or ride the charming miniature train around the 51-acre park. There are plenty of hike and bike trails as well as a mini-golf course and a playground.
Canyon Lake is a stone's throw away and is home to a large number of striped bass and offers some of the best fishing in the area. Twenty-three boat ramps provide easy access to the lake. Schlitterbahn, a family-friendly water park with 51 attractions and over 70 acres of watery fun, is within driving distance of the property as well. The Natural Bridge Caverns are a must-see for guests who enjoy natural wonders. The majestic caverns get their name from the 60-foot natural limestone slab bridge that spans the amphitheater setting of the cavern's entrance. Animal lovers should be sure to stop by the Natural Bridge Wildlife area where they can meander through 450 acres of rolling hills and creek beds, magnificent live oak trees, and over 500 animals from 40 exotic, native, and endangered animal species worldwide.
The neighboring town of Gruene, Texas is a great place to visit for fantastic food, live music, and wine tastings at The Grapevine and The Vineyard at Gruene. Guests can dance the night away at Gruene Hall, Texas' oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. Gruene is filled with specialty shops, antique stores, and galleries. There is even a spa for glampers seeking a little extra pampering during their getaway.
