This Texas Hill Country cottage is located in San Marcos just outside of Wimberley. It can accommodate four guests, making it perfect for either a family getaway or a romantic vacation for two. Guests will find a queen-size bed in the bedroom as well as a day bed with a trundle in the common space. There is one bathroom which includes a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Linens and towels are kindly provided by the host.

In the common area, guests will find the additional day bed as well as a love seat, perfect for cozying up and watching some TV or popping in a DVD. The full kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and cooking essentials. The hosts kindly provide tea and coffee, and other amenities include heating and air conditioning, as well as free parking. Guests should note that there is no Wi-Fi or cable TV, ideal for those looking to unplug.

Outside, guests will find a small covered deck area with some outdoor furniture. On the beautifully maintained grounds, there is a nature trail, fairy tree, labyrinth, medicinal herb garden, and an organic vegetable garden. There are also animals that roam around the property including, peacocks, chickens, goats, and the Great Pyrenees, Henry. The property is eco-friendly, and harvests rainwater and solar energy, and also recycles and composts. The 40-acre property is shared with the working crew and other renting guests. The location of the property is one of the best vacation spots in Texas and is perfect for a weekend getaway from Austin or even a getaway from San Antonio.

There are many optional services available to guests for an enhanced stay. There is an onsite day spa, artisan good gift shop, and a yoga barn. For kids, there are nature art classes, fairy tea parties, or activities to help out on the farm.

Guests will surely have a fun-filled stay with all the San Marcos attractions to partake in. The city is most notably known for San Marcos river tubing, where an inflatable tube can be rented to take a lazy float down the river, guests can even rent a tube for a cooler and float with a cold beer and a snack in hand. This San Marcos rental is also very close to New Braunfels, which is known for its annual Wurstfest festival in November that celebrates the start of sausage making season and the city's German heritage. Guests looking to adventure in nature should check out one of the most notable Wimberley attractions, Jacob's Well, one of the most famous natural swimming holes in Texas.
